The house of Usher has got a new tenant. We’re proud to welcome Oliver Pietsch, who recently helped us covering PINK FLOYD’s „Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun“ (www.myspace.com/radiocornwall) on guitars!

During the first rehearsals we did together three new songs were based upon his ideas and they have good chances to be found on our next album: “I Wanna Know“, “Wild Flower“, and “With Every Oath That I Break“.

We also started to prepare a tour in October/November, and we hope to present our “rarities and unreleased“-compilation “Every Eve A Star Is Born (But The Sky Is Full Of Stars Today)“ which will be released by the Russian SHADOWPLAY label, as well as some of the new songs. Two dates have already been fixed:

October 12th 2007 at ZAPFKULTUR 2007, DRUCKKAMMER/Koblenz

November 24th 2007, SONIC/Soest.

SET THE CONTROLS FOR THE HEART OF THE SUN!

By order of the German publisher's house "BLITZ-VERLAG" THE HOUSE OF USHER are right now in studio to record their interpretation of PINK FLOYD's 1968's classic "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" as main theme for the Science Fiction-audio book "TITAN". For their 9 minute version THOU are supported by Oliver Pietsch who played guitars also for the bonus-CD to the album "Radio Cornwall".

Two decades after their last European tour the legendary SAVAGE REPUBLIC return to Germany to present their new album „Siam“. To me they were always present as an extraordinary live band by their song „Spice Fields“ appearing on the „Sacred War“-sampler as well as their „Live Trek 85-86“-LP, but also their „Ceremonial“ studio recordings are appreciated a lot.

We are glad to join their memorable comeback show in Cologne!

We are proud to announce the release of our first single in 2007! "Conspiracy" contains two songs of THE HOUSE OF USHER as well as our friends THE ESCAPE. The split single package - strictly limited to 500 copies - contains a vinyl-single, a CD-R and a short story of THOU-vocalist Jörg Kleudgen. The official release date will be the 15th of March. An exklusive official release concert will be performed by both bands at the Zwischenfall-Club/Bochum on Friday 23rd of February.
