23rd of October 2006:

If you haven't noticed it up to now: Here's a reminding flyer for our concert in Koblenz on Friday november, 17th. The Gig is not only a nostalgic return to the place, where we played the first Gig in our career. On the other hand, in this night we are going to play the first Gig in our new line-up. We are looking very joyful to this event.

9th of September 2006:

15 years ago THE HOUSE OF USHER played their first show in this town. After so many years they’re going to return to their geographic roots. And again it’s called BLACK PLANET PARTY!
The 17th of November they’ll rock the catacombs of the CIRCUS MAXIMUS, Stegemannstraße/ Koblenz.

22nd of August 2006:

Since Markus Pick has left THE HOUSE OF USHER (which was planned since a long time) after the Wave Gotik Meeting we are now working with several guitar players. Mainly in studio we’ll be supported by Dominic Daub who had helped us with some „Radio Cornwall“-tracks such as “Wherever The Storm May Drop Us Down” and “Throwing Stones At The Wind”. At the same time Martin Krötz rejoined the band (both influenced „Cosmogenesis“ and „Inferno“ a lot with their work)!
More than just guitar player in our band will become Ingo Klemens, better known as mastermind of THE ESCAPE. In this line up we have started working on a 7” single with the title „Conspiracy“ which is planned to be released at the end of the year. We will keep you informed!

September issue of the German ZILLO-Magazine sees THE HOUSE OF USHER presenting my recipe „Gnocchi with mushrooms and cream” with a photograph taken by Bianca before our show in Bonn. To be honest: Would you trust this cook?

In Russia more respected now than in Germany? ROCK ORACLE features THE HOUSE OF USHER on three pages regarding our Russian release of „Radio Cornwall“. Thanks!

26th of June 2006:

At WGT THE HOUSE OF USHER left the numerous audience enthusiastic in spite of daylight and the early time to play. We were supported by the charming VIOLET-vocalist Bianca, who maybe caused more than just one goose skin with her fantastic vocal solo at „le Morte d’Arthur“.
The show was filmed with five cameras and we hope that someday we will be able to present it on our DVD-box „Necrologio“.

Several trials to start a MY SPACE-website for THE HOUSE OF USHER didn’t work for some unknown reason. Containing a rehearsal session of the new song „Deep Inside My Heart“ it was available for a few days only, before the site was closed again.

Maybe we’re too sexy?

However: We don’t give up!

G.O.T.H. is the title of a Ukrainian gothic magazine which printed a 3-paged interview/article about our “Radio Cornwall”-release through the Russian label SHADOWPLAY. It’s Cyrillic. Unfortunately!

27th of May 2006:

Finally arrived! We proudly present the Russian edition of „Radio Cornwall“ by SHADOWPLAY RECORDS! Besides a bonus video track of “Radio Cornwall”, played live in Berlin 11.11. 2005 and produced by SCHWARZ TV, this edition contains the English version of the booklet story. It is wrapped in an additional paper cover that makes it looking really beautiful!

We are also proud about the fact that the German ZILLO-magazine elected our album “Cosmogenesis” (released in 1999) for their June issue as “classic album of the month”.

25th of April 2006:

At home at last! After two remarkable gigs there's a lot of work to be done for THE HOUSE OF USHER now. The June issue of the German ZILLO magazine appreciates our 1999's album "Cosmogenesis" as "classic masterpiece". We had to answer a few questions of Frank Rummeleit for this. Further we did another interview for a Russian magazine. Our actual album "Radio Cornwall" is finally released in Russia including a video bonus track. At last we have to prepare our concert at the Wave & Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig.

Our show in Leeds/UK was quite a success but the concert we gave at Klangstation/Bonn on April the 21st supported by VIOLET's Bianca Stücker may be considered as the best we did in the actual line up! Thanks to all friends, former band members and fans who made this evening unforgettable!

9th of April 2006:

THE HOUSE OF USHER finished preparations for their shows at BEYOND THE VEIL-Festival (Golden Lion, Leeds/UK, April 15th 2006) and DARK FRIDAY (Klangstation/Bonn, April 21st 2006) on Saturday the 2. April 2006. We were visited by Bianca Stücker und Oliver Pietsch (VIOLET) and played some Songs of the new set with backing vocals (some snapshots of the rehearsal see above!). Bianca will support us in Bonn as well as at the WGT.

During a session on Saturday/Sunday March 4th/5th we wrote parts of a new song called „Down Below“. Works on the forthcoming album develop very well even if we have to put focus upon the preparations for our shows.

25th of February 2006:

The limited edition of "Radio Cornwall" of 1000 copies is completely sold out. A second edition without bonus-CD in a jewel case is available now.

During their rehearsal at the 18th/19th of February the band continued working on new songs. Two tracks with the provisional titles "Invocation" and "Friendly Fire" were result of this session.

Due to augmented guestbook-entries containing spam, we have decided to close the guestbook.
We're working on a spam-free version to prevent those kind of entries in the future. We apologize that new entries can not be made until the new version is installed. Old guestbook-entries are still accessible.

4th of February 2006:

We are glad to announce that the Booking-Agency NONSTOP BOOKING is going to help us professionally in organizing concerts for us. From now on any requests for concerts have to be adressed to them.

29th of January 2006:

“The House Of Usher come back here with their first album in four years and it’s an absolute marvel.” said British godfather of Gothic, Mick Mercer, on his website (http://www.livejournal.com/users/mickmercer/482759.html?nc=4) in January. „‘Radio Cornwall’ has so many special songs you’ll love it. You will absolutely love it.”

At the same time an article about THE HOUSE OF USHER was published in the first issue of ELEGY IBERICA (the Portugese branch of the biggest French Gothic-Magazine ELEGY)[PICTURE] and in the Russian magazine PILOT the band will tell you about the development of German Gothic Rock since the middle of the Eighties.

Some of you might have been recognized, that our online shop wasn't current for a long time. We apologize, that we can't provide a new one up to this time.
